Position
This Senior Account Management position has a predominant account base of large government accounts.
Your key activities will consist of:
- Formulating, implementing and managing strategic business plans regarding a portfolio of accounts to achieve Sales revenue/sales quota.
- Selecting, coordinating and managing staff to complete tasks associated with retaining designated accounts.
- Working closely with clients to determine their present and future needs and proposing suitable products, services and upgrades in order to maintain and grow revenue.
- Acting as the main interface between the client and the organisation to ensure an optimal level of service is provided at all times and continually seeking the opportunity to participate in client’s strategic business planning processes.
- Conducting product demonstrations (where applicable) and coordinating the preparation of sales proposals, tenders/bids, contracts and account management plans.
Candidate
To be a successful candidate for this position you will need a minimum of 5 years IT Sales experience Preferably with a system integrator incorporating managed services and infrastructure product experience. You must have a proven track record in success with an example of a complex sale while managing key accounts and developing new business. Strong presentation and communication skills are a must.
